Who we help?
Past members who have enjoyed Steps equipment have been diagnosed with: angelmans syndrome, autism, blindness, cerebral palsy, cognitive delay, deafness, developmental delay, downs syndrome, dyspraxia, epilepsy, fine or gross motor skills, hyper-mobility, microcephaly and rhetts syndrome. The actual condition is not important to us - we just concentrate on how we can help each & every child.

it's quick and easy to do!

Toys
Steps offers a range of toys which have been adapted to meet the needs of children/young people with a broad range of disability. As part of the membership registration our experienced staff talk to you about your child/young person and try to match the best toy (and switch) to their development, likes, dislikes and interests.

Click on the photographs below to see examples of the different types of toys available to loan alongside a description of how they work.

Please note: when adapting a toy we try to maximise the functions that can be worked by a single switch but, electronically, there are some instances where not all functions will be available
